    Division 3 No. 1 ranked Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood continued its season-long incredible play, winning the Michigan High School Athletic Association Region 18 girls golf championship on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Pontiac Country Club.

   Cranbrook shot 324 to earn the title. No. 4-ranked Macomb Lutheran North was second at 338. No. 9-ranked Bloomfield Hills Marian finished third at 349.

   Last week Cranbrook won its first Catholic High School League Bishop

Division championship and the Division 1 Oakland County Championship.

   At the regional, Cranbrook senior Natasha Samsonov shot 76 to earn medalist honors. Senior Ashley Cong finished second at 77. Senior Katherine Li shot 85. Sophomores Sienna Ilitch and Mackenzie Behnke both shot 86.

   Cranbrook also won the Pontiac Country Club tournament (Aug. 28), Lapeer Lightning Summer Tune-up (Aug. 24), Flint Powers Invitational (Aug. 30), North Star tournament (Sept. 2), and the Stoneycroft Hills tournament (Sept. 20).

    The MHSAA finals are Oct. 15-16. The Division 3 tournament is at Michigan State University’s Forest Akers West.
